WageLog Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WageLog, developed by NovaCoreLabs, handles information in its Android and iOS (iPhone) apps.

1. Information stored in WageLog

WageLog is an offline-first work-hours and earnings tracker. You do not need a WageLog or NovaCoreLabs account. The information you enter is stored locally on your device, including:

  • jobs, pay rates, currencies and pay types
  • pay-period and overtime settings
  • shifts, start and end times, breaks
  • bonuses, tips and deductions
  • notes and other information you choose to enter

2. Earnings information

WageLog calculates estimated earnings from the information and pay rules you enter. These calculations are estimates only. WageLog does not calculate taxes and does not determine legal payroll, employment, wage or overtime eligibility.

3. Data sent to NovaCoreLabs

WageLog does not operate a cloud account or synchronization service for your work-history data. Your jobs, shifts, pay settings, earnings entries and notes are not uploaded to NovaCoreLabs servers. If a cloud feature is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that feature is released.

4. Exports and backups

WageLog lets you create CSV exports, PDF reports and WageLog backup files. These files are created only when you request them, and you choose where they are saved or which app or service you share them with. Once a file leaves WageLog, the privacy and security practices of that destination apply. Backup files may contain your work history, pay settings and notes, so store them somewhere you trust.

5. Purchases (Google Play and App Store)

WageLog offers an optional one-time WageLog Pro lifetime purchase.

  • On Android, purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
  • On iOS, purchases are processed by the Apple App Store (StoreKit).

WageLog receives only the information needed to determine purchase status and Pro entitlement (for example, whether WageLog Pro is purchased or pending). WageLog does not receive or store your payment-card details. Google's and Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

6. Local Pro entitlement information

WageLog may store a limited local entitlement state on your device so that a verified Pro purchase keeps working when Google Play or the App Store is temporarily unavailable. This state contains no payment-card details, and purchase tokens, receipts or transaction identifiers are not stored in it, in backup files or in exports.

7. Advertising and ad privacy

WageLog Free displays a banner ad on the Dashboard. WageLog Pro does not display ads.

Free-tier ads are served by the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob). Google states that this SDK may automatically collect and share your IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information and device identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention:

  • On Android: the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID, where available.
  • On iOS: the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not shared.

WageLog uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage ad consent where required by your region (for example, in the EEA and UK). When an ad privacy options entry point is required, it is available in WageLog's Settings.

WageLog does not send job names, pay rates, shift history, earnings entries or notes to the advertising SDK. Google's handling of advertising data is governed by Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

8. Analytics and tracking

NovaCoreLabs does not operate its own analytics or crash-reporting service in WageLog. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process app interactions and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention as described in section 7. On iOS, tracking only happens with your permission through App Tracking Transparency.

9. Internet and third-party services

WageLog's core work-history features work locally. Third-party services are used for:

  • WageLog Pro purchases (Google Play on Android, the App Store on iOS)
  • the Free-tier Dashboard banner (Google Mobile Ads) and ad consent (Google UMP)
  • the system sharing and document features of Android and iOS when you save, open, export, restore or share files

10. Data retention

Data stored in WageLog remains on your device until you edit or delete it, replace it by restoring a backup, clear the app's data, or uninstall/delete the app. Device backups made by Android or iOS (including iCloud backups) are outside WageLog's control. NovaCoreLabs keeps no server copy of your work history.

11. Deleting your data

You can delete jobs and shifts inside WageLog. You can remove all locally stored WageLog data by clearing the app's data (Android) or deleting the app (Android and iOS). Restoring a backup in replace mode replaces the current data after you confirm.

12. Children's privacy

WageLog is a general productivity and work-hours utility and is not directed at children.

13. Security

WageLog keeps its data in the app's private storage on your device (with iOS file protection on iPhone) and uses the operating system's document and sharing features for files you create. No method of storage is completely secure; please store exported reports and backup files in locations you trust.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

NovaCoreLabs may update this Privacy Policy when WageLog's features, data practices or legal requirements change. The current version is available inside the app and on this page.
